Description:
Although the Neodämmerung class battleship had not yet shown age or inferiority in design or deployment in comparison to its fleet-mates, with the christening of the Elissa class super battleships and the accompanying leaps and bounds in technology, a Neodämmerung alongise the Elissa looked as an old-time galleon alongside a destroyer. To be sure, the Neodämmerung's system of MAC guns not bound to the spine had paved the way for the advances the Elissa enjoyed, but at the same time she demanded a complimentary vessel. To this end, Imperial Docks drew up a new design: the Königsberg class assault "cruiser," though it is only a cruiser in the sense it is the lesser to the Elissa. 2.5 kilometers long, bristling with the same MACs that make the Elissa feared, while it appears at first glance simply a mini-Elissa, it has its own differences and quirks with the mighty dreadnought. Encumbered with less armor and given the blessing of great speed, the Königsberg is an assault vessel in every sense of the word; and it fears little. Its MACs, complimented with the same Gattling L-PPCs that make the Hughie feared by enemy fighters and drones, the Königsberg is fast, flexible, and fearless, able to deal with all enemies in their turn.
