Description:
The Hyperion Class is a capital ship with no equal. Approximately .75 times the size of a Super Star Destroyer, the Hyperion is nonetheless armed and armored to take on and destroy ships far larger than it. It acts as the fleet core, a rallying point for the smaller cruisers, frigates, and corvettes, and the mere presence of the ship is usually enough to quell unrest in outworld colonies. While formidable, the Hyperion is nonetheless horrendously expenisive to build and maintain, and it is very slow, and unwieldy as far as starcraft go. It can unleash huge invasion forces as well, carrying a compliment of troops bigger than the armies of small nations. The captaining of such ships is reserved for the High Admirals, the undisputed lords of the navy who have proven their expert prowess at handling starships and starbattles.
