Description:
In the early 600s, the Marines corp was arguably the most backward units in the empire: lightly armored, and armed rather poorly, it was quickly becoming apparent that if they were ever pitted against their peers in other nations, their chances for survival were very slim. In response the corp began a massive upgrade of the marines, giving them fuller, more protective body armors, better weapons, and even shielding systems, though in the process sometimes even whole units were disbanded in order to keep the budget balanced; overall, however, the "new" marines are much more fit for combat on the modern stage than they ever were before.
